Eliza and Hannah's aunts (the "D's" as they refer to them) gave them gift certificates to Build-a-Bear for Christmas. As a consequence, the whole family sallied forth from home a few days after Christmas to, well, build the girls' "bears."
Hannah settled on a gray kitty and named her "Alice", while Eliza settled on a bear named "Lila". 
The girls got to stuff their animals and put a "heart" in them as well.
Then they picked out some clothes.
Add some information to a computer and you get a birth certificate.
Note that the box picture above containing the animal, clothes, and gift certificate became a point of obsession itself. The girls were carrying the boxes around constantly and when the handle tore on Hannah's box there was a lot of crying until Papa (Josh's dad) fixed it.

LOVE that Eliza named her bear Lila. My Lila is going to be soooo flattered! (Except that when my kids just got to go to build a bear Lila wanted to pick that pink tye dye bear and I made Johnny help her change her mind. She picked a pink unicorn instead. awesome!) AND I am totally there for you on the boxes. My kids love the dumb boxes almost as much as the bears!
p.s. Eliza looks so grown up I hardly recognize her. Can't wait to see you guys soon. The girls are going to have soooo much fun together!
I am seeing you soon???? :) :) :) I know you would love that Eliza named her bear Lila. I thought it was really cute that she did that. That is funny because I actually showed her the unicorn as a different option. She saw the pink bear first and had her mind made up.
